Was a great supplement to an otherwise not so great class. Concepts are presented clear with examples. Get this if you want to actually learn
The content is very useful. The problem is the quality of the print edition. Some figures are completely incomprehensible, appearing like a black spot.

I have never written an Amazon Review before, but I feel compelled to do so in this case.I cut my teeth on this text many years ago, and I still refer to it for occasional insights - I still learn from it. The combination of theory interspersed with a large number of examples is a great way to learn the subject matter. Five Stars for the content, and kudos the to the author, Dare Wells.My beef is with the production quality of the latest edition published by McGraw-Hill. In short: it's quite poor. Rather than reprint the text from original typeset, it appears that this edition is some sort xerographic reproduction. The loss of fine detail and the addition of reproduction noise, especially in detailed mathematics and figures, is distracting. It's cheap. DO NOT BUY THIS EDITION OF THE TEXT!My advice: find an older edition of this gem. There are lots of channels to find these; e.g., Alibis or perhaps Amazon resellers.
