Well I thought I'd review this before I take the test in 2 days. I find it to be very well put together, mostly explaining things in brief, concise, and easy to understand terms with examples.My only complaint so far is that there's a touch of missing information relating to some of the formulas. It's just not super clear, but you can mostly infer the meaning by looking over the examples.For me, I think the structure here is a winner. It has 13 chapters on the material, each followed by a bullet point review of "what you need to know" and a sample test on the chapter. Then there's a big sample test at the end.I'm going to update this after I take the test Friday, pass or fail.
Title is misleading, as the "101 ways" are just bullet point summaries that make up ~3% of the book content and aren't that useful.The core material is decent, I used this book while waiting for the Kaplan material and after comparing both I wouldn't waste time on this book.Final exam offered 260 questions, I found at least 5 of the recorded answers were verifiably incorrect.
Do not rely on this book as your only resource for the exam. There is much more depth in reality than this book has to offer. I agree with another reviewer that the review questions in this book were far too easy. The content glossed over many topics that should be covered in greater detail; I didn't realize this until I picked up a practice exam (from another source) and saw that the questions were nowhere in comparison to what I read. The only good part about this book is that it contains 260 practice questions (to simulate a full-length exam). However, the answer key is numbered incorrectly in the second half, so in the end I found this book to be a complete waste of time.
I spent time reading this book that should have been spent studying. Lets be honest....that's really the best way for most of use to improve our test scores.
Nicely written book. Clear overview, good examples, very readable for someone not familiar with Series 7 terminology. I would recommend it as an initial primer on the topic. It had information which would also help someone working in the business who needs a refresher as he prepares for the taking the Series 7. Very helpful to me.
This book is excellent! Easy to understand and an important tool to know the basic and as the same time the most important about Series 7. If you really want to pass in the first attempt you really need this book first at all!I love the way that is explain it every chapter. And you can practice simple and easy going tests in this!
